STEPP - Student Tuition Easy Payment Plan

What is STEPP?

The Student Tuition Easy Payment Plan (STEPP) program allows students to pay tuition and fees on an installment plan. Payments are made in monthly installments each academic quarter.

What does it cover?

The STEPP program plan covers your tuition and course fees for every quarter you enroll in the program. Tuition includes the services and activity fee, comprehensive fee, facilities fee, safety/security and building fee.

How can I enroll in the program?

Pick up a printed copy of the STEPP Enrollment form at the Cashier’s Office (W201F) or the Student Accounts Office (W201E), or just fill out the address information on this PDF* version of the STEPP Enrollment form, print it out and sign and date the bottom of the form. Mail or bring the signed and dated original form to the address below. You may fax the form to meet the enrollment deadline, but the college will still need the original within two weeks.

What do I pay?

  • There is no cost to enroll.
  • Check, cash or credit or debit card (VISA and MasterCard) accepted.
  • Pay in equal monthly installments. Due dates:
    • 1st month — First day of the quarter
    • 2nd month — 10th of the month for Winter Spring & Summer, 20th of the month for Fall
    • 3rd month — 10th of the month for Winter & Spring, 20th of the month for Fall

What if I miss a payment?

  • If the first payment is not received by the 5th day of the quarter, you are subject to being dropped from your classes and the STEPP contract will be cancelled.
  • After the 5th day of the quarter, your first payment will be considered a late payment and a $50 late fee will be assessed. This does not apply to students registering for the first time during a quarter if this contract is signed and payment is received within three days of registration.
  • If the second or third payment is received more than 5 days after the due date:
    • $50 late fee is added to your account
    • Future enrollment will be blocked and transcripts withheld
    • Additional $20.00 is assessed if further collection is warranted

What if I add or drop classes?

Changes in your schedule will likely affect the amount of tuition and fees that you owe. Notify Student Accounts (425) 739-8184 or by e-mail at StudentAccounts@lwtc.edu of any changes to your class schedule so that your new payment amount can be calculated.
