Career Programs > Database Application Development and Programming

Database Application Development and Programming prepares students for employment as junior programmers, computer programmer assistants and computer programming specialists. The program also provides supplemental training for individuals previously or currently employed in these occupations.

After successfully completing this program, the student will be able to design database models and utilize computer programming languages to create and manipulate databases. The fundamentals of programming and software development, as well as Structured Query Language (SQL) and JavaScript will be taught in the program.

The student will develop skills in mathematical applications, computer literacy, communications, human relations, job readiness and career development activities, information processing concepts, design programs, code programs, test programs, perform program maintenance, debug programs, and identify functions of computers and information processing.
